The Canada International Arts & Music Society (CIAMS) is deeply honoured to announce that it has been granted Honorary Patronage from the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, the Honourable Wendy Cocchia, CM, OBC., LLD (Hon) .
Patronage, in the sense of support and encouragement of worthy endeavours, is a valued function of the Office of the Lieutenant Governor. It recognizes organizations whose missions contribute significantly to the cultural, educational, and social fabric of our communities.
Her Honour, the Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, serves as patron to many community, cultural, and public service organizations across the province—offering vital support and recognition for their outstanding contributions to society.
This distinction acknowledges CIAMS’s ongoing commitment to promoting artistic excellence, cultural exchange, and community engagement through music and the arts. Since its founding, CIAMS has dedicated itself to fostering creativity, collaboration, and international dialogue through concerts, festivals, workshops, and educational programs.
“We are truly grateful for this meaningful honour,” said CIAMS President Lynn Liu. “Receiving the Lieutenant Governor’s patronage inspires us to continue advancing our mission—to bring people together and enrich our communities through the power of the arts.”
With this esteemed recognition, CIAMS looks forward to continuing its work in creating meaningful artistic and cultural experiences that connect and inspire audiences locally and globally.
