MISSION

Founded and supported by artists, educators, professionals and social activists from Western Canada, the Canada International Arts and Music Society (CIAMS) is a charitable organization.

The society’s mission is to foster cultural exchange and understanding through music, and it achieves this by organizing workshops, premier concerts, and international music festivals. Through these events, CIAMS provides a platform for musicians from diverse backgrounds to showcase their talents and connect with audiences around the world. The society’s dedication to promoting classical music and cultural exchange has made it a significant player in the global music scene, attracting both established and up-and-coming talent to its events. The Vancouver International Music Competition has become a premier event for classical musicians and music lovers alike, and the society’s commitment to promoting the arts and culture through music is an inspiration to all.

The Canada International Arts & Music Society seeks to:

• Provide high-quality events (concerts, recitals, competitions, lectures, workshops, etc.) to the Vancouver community
• Encourage collaboration and resource-sharing among artists and other professionals
• Provide emerging musicians with a platform for artistic growth and development
• Foster communication and cultural exchange between artists from all over the world
