CIAMS was honored to host VIMC Platinum Prize Winner (piano division) Lukas Mikolajczyk at the Roy Barnett Recital Hall for an inspiring recital featuring the music of Ravel, Rachmaninoff, and Chopin
Lukas Mikolajczyk stands out as one of Poland’s most celebrated young pianists. Originally from Poland, Mr. Mikolajczyk holds prizes from numerous competitions including his advance to the second round of the International Fryderyk Chopin Piano Competition in Warsaw, Poland, which placed him among the world’s top 30 best young pianists. Lukas studied in Katowice at the Karol Szymanowski State Music School with Professor Anna Górecka. His progress was then accelerated at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music, where In 2017, Lukas graduated with his master’s degree under Professor Zbigniew Raubo. Currently, Lukas is mentored by Professor Lee Kum Sing at the Vancouver Academy of Music.
